David Kind is a writer, creative strategist, and lifelong musician who grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington. His deep passion for classical piano has been a throughline in his life, shaping both his discipline and artistry.

Over the years, he has expanded his creative work into multiple arenas—developing a career that spans communications, branding, teaching, and storytelling. His professional journey also includes significant contributions in nonprofit leadership, higher education, and community-based projects, where his skills in writing, design, and organizational strategy have made a lasting impact.

In addition to his current work as Congregational Administrator for Peoples Church Unitarian Universalist in Cedar Rapids, IA, David teaches French, Spanish, and Suzuki piano in his “spare time”.

Beyond his professional life, David brings the same sense of curiosity and creativity to his personal passions. He is at work on a novel and continues to refine his artistry as a pianist. He also shares his life with the world’s most adorable dog, Pickles, who reminds him every day to seek joy and play in ordinary moments.

Whether through music, words, or strategy, David’s work centers on helping others connect more deeply—to ideas, to stories, and to each other.
